Construction on the new Studio begins!

The Paper Conservation Studio has just started construction on its new studio. The new studio is specifically designed for Paper Conservation activities and will feature specialised equipment for treating, framing and storing artworks.

The layout of the Studio has been designed according to the standard treatment path that an artwork undergoes in the Studio under the careful attention of the Head restorer and will yield an increased capacity and turn around time on artworks whilst still ensuring that the artworks receive quality attention.

It is anticipated that the construction will be completed by the end of 2008 with the final fitting out of the Studio taking place in early 2009. Keep an eye on the website for news and pictures about the construction...
